Rain Is Falling gets the slight nod over Moment In Paradise. Nobody can put twilight sadness into song quite like Jeff Lynne.

I usually get all sentimental and vote for the Zoom song.But this time I have to pick Rain Is Falling because it seems to be the ELO song that's playing during some very memorable moments in my life.

These are two of my favorite Jeff/ELO songs, so it's a tough call. Gotta say "Moment In Paradise". "Rain Is Falling" is stunning, but "Moment.." is stunning-er ;)

I've never thought of comparing these two songs... But Rain Is Falling seems to have a nicer melody. And I also love the little melody to "its raining its falling the old man is snoring" twoards the end of the song... Very clever.

ha ha ha The line is "It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring" from a well-known nursery rhyme.

"It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring.
Went to bed, bumped his head, and couldn't get up in the morning!"

When I was a kid, we used to sing it while jumping rope. Maybe this generation is not familiar with it.
